If you can’t make it in person to the 2015 Symposium on Scholarly Teaching and Learning in Post-Secondary Education on Nov. 13, why not attend (some, or all of it) online?
We have options for our colleagues at a distance to access this event:
Webcasts: Watch opening and closing keynotes online, on Nov. 13:
- Opening Keynote @ 9:00am – Dr. Eric Davis: “The Revolutionary Potential of SOTL: How it can Help Us Complete the Paradigm Shift from Teaching to Learning”
- Link to webcast: http://www.sfu.ca/webcast/event/584/live.html
- Closing Keynote @ 2:45pm – Dr. Teresa Dawson: Towards an integrated academic life: SOTL as an opportunity for working through and across differences

Tech Buddies: Attend sessions online, thanks to your “tech buddy” on the ground!
We have some fabulous colleagues who have volunteered to be your tech buddies on the ground and “take you” to sessions: Alice Macpherson from Kwantlen Polytechnic and B.J. Eib from Royal Roads.
- Email tracy@bccampus.ca to get connected to a tech buddy by 12:00 noon on Nov. 12 (day before the event)
Note: if you are interested in providing access to your events through “tech buddy” type approaches, you might like to check out our lessons learned from last year.
