Session Description:

Join us for this one-hour drop-in session which will build on the information provided in the webinar on Building Community and Enacting Care in online environments. This session will provide participants with the ability to consider learning design and the tools that will assist you to connect with students in online environments. Come with questions and learn with our facilitators and other participants to develop strategies to address your challenges.

Facilitators:

Ian Linkletter (MLIS, University of Western Ontario) is a Learning Technology Specialist in the Faculty of Education at UBC. He specializes in online learning, working with faculty to help them integrate technology with their teaching in effective, evidence-based, and innovative ways.

Brenna Clarke Gray (MA Carleton, Ph.D. New Brunswick) is a literature scholar by training, a comics scholar by practice, and an educational technologist by trade. Her research interests include open pedagogies and ethical approaches to educational technologies. She is the Coordinator, Educational Technologies at Thompson Rivers University, and is currently at work tracing the history and imagining the future of open tenure processes.
