ACE-WIL Town Hall: Let’s Connect

*Note: This session has passed. Please view the recordings and resources below.

Connect with your WIL colleagues from across the province in a town hall, with breakout rooms for networking along with updates from ACE-WIL and across B.C. It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year since our first town hall in March 2020. We were all scrambling as we found ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic. None of us could have anticipated how much our world would be changed forever, but one constant has been our strong WIL community. We’ve been able to share our struggles and victories and count on one another for support along the way. Let’s take some time to reconnect and look ahead together during our next town hall, hosted once again by our friends at BCcampus.

Jennie Nilsson (she/her) has been a passionate advocate of co-op and work-integrated learning for over 15 years. Currently, she serves as president of the Association for Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning (ACE-WIL) BC/Yukon, where she leads initiatives to promote policies and best practices to support high-quality work-integrated learning across B.C. through engagement with post-secondary institutions, employer groups, and governments. Jennie holds a master of education in leadership studies from the University of Victoria and currently works as a co-op coordinator for the Faculty of Social Sciences there. Jennie has extensive experience in employer engagement and believes strongly in the power of reflection to support student learning in work-integrated learning settings and to prepare students for the workforce of the future.
