Are you a journal editor, journal author or do use peer editing assignments in your course? If you answered yes to any of those statements, this event will be of interest!

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is free, open source software used by over 10,000 journals around the world to make their content openly available to everyone, everywhere.

This session will discuss how this “Made in Canada” project developed, the impact it is having globally, and the opportunities for grassroots publishing project proposals at Douglas College.

Kevin is the Head of Digital Publishing at the Simon Fraser University Library and the Associate Director for Community Engagement & Learning at the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where is responsible for the Project’s continuing education, community development, user experience, and communications.
