During the final week of the Facilitating Learning Online (FLO) workshop, participants take some time to revisit key topics and themes, and to reflect on their learning over the previous four weeks. Then, we move on to making concrete plans for next steps — how to apply what we’ve learned. All participants, including the facilitators, take part in this reflective practice, and some choose to share their creations on the open web. Naturally, everyone is encouraged to be adventurous with their use of media, since novel ways of representing ideas and learning is always an area of growth in the workshop.
This is Candy Ho‘s looking back, looking forward piece. Candy, who holds teaching positions at both Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Simon Fraser University, completed FLO in April, 2016, then went on to the 2-week Facilitator Development Online (FDO) workshop, which prepares her to facilitate FLO. And we hope she does one day!
