Our Facilitating Learning Online (FLO) facilitators recently responded to questions about their experiences. Let’s hear from Myra Rhodes!
What compelled you to participate in a facilitator / support role?
I always learn most about a subject when I am in the position of teaching/facilitating it.
How was your experience (co) facilitating a FLO workshop? What stands out?
- Great: what I have had the opportunity to learn (and continue to learn) from participants and co-facilitators
- Not so great: when individuals lose faith in themselves and do not realize the value of what they are contributing and so they stop trying and even drop out
What advice do you have for future FLO facilitators?
It’s not just about the technology, and you have more to offer than you realize.
