All new and experienced ISW Facilitators are invited to the annual ISW Fall Institute, a collaborative professional development opportunity taking place Oct. 28 – 30, 2016. The Institute begins the evening of Oct. 28 and runs through the morning of Oct. 30 at the Edenvale Retreat and Conference Centre in Abbotsford, BC – http://www.edenvaleretreat.ca/
This Institute is designed for both new and experienced facilitators in the ISW Program who are interested in meeting and spending some professional development time with other ISW facilitators and trainers. It provides opportunities for participants to share insights and challenges, and to draw on each others’ experiences and expertise in a collegial environment. Specific activities evolve from an ongoing needs assessment as the event progresses. Please come prepared to share stories, innovations, problems, philosophies and visions related to teaching, learning, and/or the ISW. Some spaces are available for those with instructional development responsibilities who have not participated in the ISW Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW).
For those interested in combining participation in the ISW Fall Institute with other professional development activities, this event follows the BC Teaching & Learning Network (BC-TLN) Fall Meeting Oct. 27 (contact jjasper@jibc.ca for more information), and the Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG) Fall Workshop Oct. 28 https://etug.ca/event/workshops-2/
