This spring, BCcampus is hitting the road, cruising through post-secondary campuses, and connecting with fellow educators along the way.
From June 10-18, 2024, we will be visiting regional post-secondary institutions to spend two days exploring current themes in teaching and learning. We will be stopping at Okanagan College in Kelowna, Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, and Selkirk College in Castlegar.
“We are so excited to set off on our road trip to bring the BCcampus Roadshow to some regional campuses across the province. At each stop, prepare for an unforgettable two days of engaging workshops, sessions, and stimulating discussions. Our unique blend of care, inclusivity, and enthusiasm ensures an enriching learning environment for everyone involved,” says Tracy Roberts, BCcampus director of learning & teaching.
Join us at one of our stops and become part of our community of educators and learners. All sessions are free and open to any B.C. post-secondary staff or faculty member. The BCcampus Travel Grant is also available for rural and remote staff to support their travel to these locations.
BCcampus’ dynamic Roadshow team will be offering a tailored selection of workshops and sessions, covering trending topics in post-secondary education including generative artificial intelligence, open education, and digital literacy.
Participants will have the opportunity to build their skills in key areas including:
- Accessibility
- Positionality statements
- Liberating structures
- Visual practices
- Finding, adopting, and creating open educational resources
Our Roadshow isn’t just about formal workshops and sessions – it’s about the journey itself. Join us for casual teaching and learning conversations with colleagues and the BCcampus team, where participants can swap stories, share insights, and connect with fellow educators. The best adventures are the ones we share with others.
If you’re interested in learning more or bringing the roadshow to your institution, please get in touch with us to start the conversation.
Registration is now open for all three stops at roadshow.bccampus.ca. We can’t wait to hit the road for this educational expedition. See you at the Roadshow!
