Digital Pedagogy Lab 2025

Are you ready to push the boundaries of teaching with technology?

The Digital Pedagogy Lab is more than just another educational conference. It’s a dynamic, cohort-based community of practice, dedicated to inspiring and guiding educators to rethink how they engage with technology in education. The 2025 event will be hosted by BCcampus in partnership with Jesse Stommel and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

About the Lab

The Digital Pedagogy Lab was founded with a clear goal: to help educators navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape by encouraging them to approach learning as curious, courageous students. It promises a transformative environment, fostering meaningful interactions and supportive exchanges of pedagogical ideas. At the Digital Pedagogy Lab, we don’t just talk about new teaching approaches or the role of technology in education—we learn to put these critical pedagogy insights into practise.

We invite educators, students, instructional designers, learning experience designers, and technologists to think critically and act boldly. Here are some questions we invite you to consider:

  • How can we assess learning with a focus on humanizing practices?
  • How can GenAI tools be integrated into assignments to enhance engagement, equity, and fairness?
  • How can we design learning experiences that prioritize care and community, allowing both students and educators the opportunity to reimagine and reshape the uncertain world?
  • How do we navigate the inequalities that our learners might face in the ever-growing and changing AI landscape?
  • What strategies can we implement to decolonize our classrooms and create more equitable, student-centred learning environments?

What to Expect

  • Collaborative Learning: Participate in all-day sessions across three days, working closely within your cohort and engaging in enriching inter-track discussions.
  • Interactive Dialogues: Take part in deep, sustained conversations on critical topics like reimagining assessment, designing for care, and critical technology considerations, with inspiring and compelling facilitators in the field.
  • Practical Pedagogical Insights: Leave the Lab with ready-to-implement strategies or activities for your classrooms and institutions, from AI-enhanced activities to designs infused with Universal Design for Learning and decolonial perspectives.

The Digital Pedagogy Lab is where theory meets practice, and where educators come together to forge the future of teaching and learning with technology.

Mark your calendars! Be a part of this groundbreaking journey.
