Eight Areas of Digital Literacy

Evaluators will review content covering the eight areas of digital literacy thematic competencies. Content that helps individuals:

Understand the ethics and legal implications of gathering and sharing digital information.
Learn about the risks and benefits of having an online presence.
Discover and choose educational software, digital tools, and apps.
Interpret and validate the information.
Use technology to collect, analyze, and share research.
Create multimedia that can reach different audiences and share stories.
Create healthy boundaries with technology and use digital tools to maintain well-being.
Communicate and collaborate meaningfully with digital communities.
