Status: open

BCcampus provides professional learning for educators who want to be more effective, engaging, and inclusive with their online facilitation. A big part of this work is the Facilitating Learning Online (FLO) Program. FLO is a family of engaging, evidence-based courses designed by experts to expand and enhance online facilitation skills.

Since January 2018 a focus of FLO is offering educators practical skills and tools to apply in their practice while building relationships and community with like-minded colleagues. Our suite of offerings includes:

  • FLO MicroCourses: Intensive online one-week courses focused on high-interest, useful topics
  • FLO Fridays: One-hour facilitated online synchronous sessions (launched in 2020)
  • FLO Panel: Quarterly virtual panel discussions about trending topics in post-secondary education in B.C. (launched in 2022)
  • NEW: This year we are piloting Facilitating Learning in Person (FLIP) workshops, happening in person at PSIs across the province.

Equity Diversity and Inclusion Statement

BCcampus is committed to inclusion. From the workplace to our learning spaces, we value diversity and are actively working to decolonize our organization and the ways in which we collaborate with others. We believe a more diverse team will help us better support the individuals and communities we work with.

We encourage applications from members of groups with historical and/or current barriers to equity, including but not limited to:

  • First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all other Indigenous Peoples
  • Members of groups that commonly experience discrimination due to race, ancestry, colour, religion and/or spiritual beliefs, or place of origin
  • Persons with visible and/or invisible (physical and/or mental) disabilities
  • Persons who identify as women
  • Persons of marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions

We recognize many of these identities intersect and therefore equity, diversity, and inclusion can be complex. We value the contributions each person brings and are committed to ensuring full and equal participation for all in our community.
