This month’s award goes to Colleen Grandy, a senior instructor for both the School of Business and Leadership and the Teaching and Learning team at Yukon University. She is the first person from the Yukon to receive this recognition from BCcampus!

Claire Yu Yan’s excellence in open education stems from the way she welcomes others into the open education community through advocacy, mentorship, collaboration, and demonstration of best practices.

Julia Alards-Tomalin works as an instructor in the Renewable Resources department at BCIT, where she teaches in the Forest and Natural Areas Management and Fish program, the Wildlife and Recreation program, and the Bachelor of Science in Ecological Restoration program. Her passion for open education has led her to create several open educational resources (OER) and to introduce her colleagues and help them transition their courses to OER.
