OpenStax to produce 10 more open textbooks

We are a big fan of the open textbooks created by OpenStax College at Rice University. Not only are the open textbooks being created by the project some of the best being produced today, but they also have one of the least restrictive open licenses attached to them: CC-BY, meaning that others (like the BC Open Textbook Projects) can adapt, modify and redistribute these books at no charge. Indeed, we have a number of OpenStax textbooks in our collection, and it looksk like we will be able to add even more to our collection in the future as OpenStax has announced that they have received a new $9.6 million dollar grant which they will use to produce 10 new textbooks by 2017.
