Former Director of Curriculum Resources, Paul Stacey, reflected on a Year of Open. It’s no surprise he went on to work with the California-based, world-wide open licensing organization, Creative Commons. We still keep in touch with Paul and value his expertise as we continue to develop our own made-in-B.C. Open Educational Resources.

Paul also reflected on intellectual property, openness, and the controversy over the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act. The very fact that SOPA legislation was written, but then postponed, may mean the shift to “open” is inevitable.

We published another Strategic Plan focusing on systemic collaboration.
