B.C. Institutional Capacity to Support Open Educational Practices

We are thrilled to announce the release of Leading with Openness: A Report on the Capacity of British Columbia’s Public Post-Secondary Institutions to Support Open Educational Practices [PDF].

This study assesses institutional capacity to support open educational practices across six groupings:

  • vision and implementation;
  • partnerships;
  • policies, incentives, and professional development;
  • institutional supports; leadership and advocacy; and
  • culture change.

With 20 out of 26 institutions participating (77%), this research provides a comprehensive look at the state of support for open education practices in B.C. public post-secondary institutions.
