On the Road Again: The BCcampus Roadshow Heads North

Last year, in spring 2024, we hit the road–literally! Our Regional Roadshow took our programs, expertise, and good times straight to post-secondary institutions and communities across the province.

The 2024 Roadshow visited three locations: Okanagan College in Kelowna, Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, and Selkirk College in Castlegar. The Roadshow wasn’t just a series of workshops; it was a celebration of teaching and learning across the province and an opportunity to engage, learn and explore current themes in teaching and learning.

2025 Roadshow Announced

This year, from April 30–May 7, 2025, the Roadshow is heading North. We are visiting three locations in Northern British Columbia: College of New Caledonia in Prince George, and Northern Lights College in both Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. Join us at one of our stops and become part of this growing community of educators and learners. All sessions are free and open to any B.C. post-secondary staff or educator. BCcampus Travel Grants are available to support Roadshow travel. Check out the Roadshow website for the schedule at each location and all the details.

Connecting Communities

A key goal of the Roadshow is to ensure educators in regional areas have an opportunity to connect with colleagues in fun and engaging ways. At each stop on the BCcampus Roadshow, we host an unforgettable lineup of workshops, sessions, stimulating discussions, and socializing.

“It was an energizing and inspiring experience, and I am grateful.”—2024 Roadshow Participant

The program is designed in collaboration with the host institutions. Our Roadshow sessions cover a range of hot topics in post-secondary education, including generative artificial intelligence, open education, accessibility, and digital literacy. Each workshop and session is designed to fuel participants’ curiosity and inspire their growth as an educators and facilitators.

“The organization, facilitation, and content were high quality and given considerable thought. There were special touches like passing out cookies, offering choices during the workshop, opportunities to connect 1-1, plus a social event that reflected caring and a desire to connect and provide the space for others to connect with one another.”—2024 Roadshow Participant
