Tis the season to apply to university and college. And to lend a helping hand, BCcampus will be participating in two key events later this month and in early December.

School Application Strategies is the topic of two webinars being hosted by SchoolFinder on November 20th from 9am to 10am PST (12pm EST) and November 21st from 3pm to 4pm PST (6pm EST). Lauri Aesoph, as guest speaker, will talk about ApplyBC, an online admissions tool for B.C.’s post-secondary institutions, as well as provide application tips. Last year, over 100 people joined each session from across Canada and around the globe. To register for these free offerings go to schoolfinder.com/events, select November and 2012 from the date lists, and click on Next.

The Education and Career Fair (educationcareerfairs.com) is coming to Pearkes Arena in Victoria on Monday, December 3rd (9am – 3pm). BCcampus will be hosting a booth at this event where high school and university students, as well as adults looking for a career change can ask questions about ApplyBC and other BCcampus student services.

Later that week, I will make an ApplyBC presentation at the second annual Counselor’s Event (educationcareerfairs.com/events) taking place at the Vancouver Conference Centre. The following day, December 7, from 9 am – 7 pm more than 5,000 visitors are expected at the fair where institutions and educational vendors from Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere, will fill the exhibition hall.
