FLO — Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

The Facilitating Learning Online (FLO) — Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a short, practical course to introduce you to the UDL framework and how you can apply it to create inclusive learning environments. This FLO course is suitable for online, face-to-face, and blended learning environments. Using UDL fosters inclusion, putting learner engagement at the centre of your activities in your course design. You will be asked to bring one of your course outlines to enable your learning with an immediate benefit. In this two-week opportunity, you will be expected to invest eight to twelve hours, mostly asynchronously. Planning a small investment of time each day is ideal to allow your learning to deepen. Three synchronous opportunities are planned: Tuesday, May 4; Tuesday, May 11; and Friday, May 14, from 12–1 p.m. PT. The synchronous sessions are not mandatory but provide an opportunity for connection and learning. Ideally, you will be able to join the lunchtime synchronous sessions to connect with your colleagues, fostering your own community of learning. Synchronous sessions will be recorded.

This event is free. To ensure we have an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, we’ve added registration to all our sessions.
