Audience: Faculty, staff, and open to all
Facilitator: Hope Power, Kate Shuttleworth
Session Description:
To celebrate Open Access Week 2020 with our global community, the SFU Library and Centre for Educational Excellence (CEE) invite you to a workshop on Open Educational Resources (OER) at SFU. OER are teaching and learning resources created with the intention of being freely available to users anywhere and can help circumvent copyright and access concerns that many of us are facing in the remote teaching environment. In this workshop, we will review the basics of OER and discuss some of its benefits for students and instructors. With the help of stories from SFU faculty, we will also delve into how you can find or create your own OER, and involve students in open pedagogy through in-class publishing projects.
