BCcampus has been asked to help out with a survey of open educational resources (OER) communities that is being undertaken by European Commission researchers. We’re inviting British Columbia educators to participate: specifically the survey is about participants in BCcampus OER activities.
If you are an educational technology co-ordinator, a member of ETUG, on our Open Textbook sub-committee — if you are working or volunteering in any way in our OER space, we invite you to complete the survey.
As part of the POERUP promoting the uptake of Open Educational Resources Project, funded by the European Commission, researchers are investigating the communities (like BCcampus) behind Open Educational Resources. Research studies indicate that communities are the driving force behind shared, free educational resources.
The aim of this research is to investigate several case studies to get a better understanding about the kind of resources that are shared in these communities and what kind of relationships people form to discuss, create or use open educational resources.
We hope you will take 20 minutes out of your day to complete the survey before May 31, 2013.
