We’ve recently launched the new Learning Access Program for Educators (LAP-E) and encourage all those eligible to apply!
What is it?
Financial support for registration, accommodation, and travel costs to attend Festival of Learning 2018. Support can be for full costs or to supplement existing funding.
Who is it for?
Instructors and teaching faculty from all B.C. public post-secondary institutions. If you are currently teaching, have recently taught, or will teach soon at any B.C. public post-secondary institution, you qualify. College, teaching university, or research university, theoretical or practical, all courses count.
Why are we giving away money?
We want to support those whose professional development funding doesn’t enable them to improve and share their teaching and learning expertise. By removing financial barriers, we are letting professional development take center stage while relegating financial concerns to the back of the house. BCcampus recognizes that many groups do not have access to any PD funds while other groups do not have access to sufficient funds to cover all the costs.
Why should I attend Festival of Learning 2018?
The Festival celebrates teaching and learning through workshops, break-out sessions, and social activities with educators, administrators, thought-leaders, students, and faculty from institutions and organizations from across the province. Join 500 participants in an inclusive space designed to enable cross-pollination between educators and administration, thought leaders and faculty.
Take your professional development up a notch by sharing your own experiences – successes as well as challenges. We’ve designed the sessions and events to be inspiring and productive for everyone interested in updated approaches to teaching and learning in B.C.
How do I apply?
Simply fill out the application form by April 1, 2018!
