Inclusive by design

An important driver for the planning of the event is inclusion – ensuring that everyone can attend #FoL18. Inclusion will be obvious in the details. Here are a few items we have included:

  • Deep discounts for early-bird registrants, students, speakers, and volunteers
  • Free childcare
  • Wheelchair accessibility with preferred seating in the most accessible areas of each room
  • Option to add pronoun ribbons to your conference badge
  • All-gender washrooms
  • Healthy meal choices for all

Who will you meet?

Join 500 participants in an inclusive space designed to enable cross-pollination between educators and administration, thought leaders and faculty. No matter your role in post-secondary education, we want you to feel comfortable sharing your own experiences – successes as well as challenges. We’ve designed the sessions and events to be inspiring and productive for everyone interested in updated approaches to teaching and learning in B.C.

Through workshops, break-out sessions, meals, and social events, you can connect with faculty, administrators, leaders, educational developers, librarians, instructional designers, and educational technologists involved in teaching and learning in B.C. post-secondary education.

What’s new?

At #FoL18, you can expect a superb selection of session formats, learning experiences, unique spaces, and phenomenally useful social and networking events, as well as new components, such as:

  • Complimentary childcare via Nannies on Call
  • Yoga breaks
  • Meditation sessions
  • An appreciation station to write a note of thanks to the important people in your life

And that’s not all! Check out the #FoL18 FAQ page for more information.
