Josie Gray, Coordinator of Collection Quality for Open Education here at BCcampus, will be a guest in the upcoming Open Textbook Network and Rebus Community Office Hours.
Office Hours are informal conversations among colleagues. Guests share their experience in 2-5 minutes, then we open it up to questions.
We invest a lot of time, energy, and funds in developing open textbooks. Maintaining your textbook after publication is an important way to make sure that investment keeps paying off. In this session, we’ll explore how authors and publishers can develop a plan to ensure their textbooks stay up-to-date. We’ll consider annual review and revision plans, including what should be on a maintenance checklist and who needs to be responsible. We’ll also discuss what to do with “old” versions, including those in POD services and institutional repositories.
