UNBC Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing: http://urls.bccampus.ca/osss1

This session is a web conference using Blackboard Collaborate web software. You will want to use your microphone to ask questions and, if you like, your computer’s camera to be seen by other participants. You don’t need official credentials to log in, but you may want your headphones if you share an office.

  • After you click on the conference link in your browser, you’ll be prompted to enter your name in the field.
  • You will see a pop-up window asking you to allow Blackboard Collaborate application to download and open on your computer. Please allow access. (You will also get a message in your browser that says “Launching Blackboard Collaborate.”)
  • Select your connection speed.
  • Within seconds, you will be placed into the conference. You will see your name and the names of the other participants on the left.

Enjoy the webinar!

Seminar description: “As a destination University with multiple regional campuses, UNBC is actively seeking ways to proactively reach our current and prospective students in real time. New technology such as online chats and web broadcasts are helping us to bridge the gap between location and student needs. Using a program like ‘Collaborate’ we can provide live access to students and help them with registration questions, record tips and hints that students can access 24/7 on our website, and host ‘how to’ sessions online with video, audio and chat.”
