Over the past few years, there have been a number of public complaints and agreements with colleges and universities regarding providing accessible information technologies. These agreements have elevated the awareness of disability issues and have heightened the urgency to develop proactive strategies to create university-wide compliance.  We will hear from individuals who have worked at institutions (Penn State University and the University of Montana) that experienced highly-publicized adverse actions. They will share how their institutions managed to change these difficult situations and create a positive impact, assuring that information technologies used at their institutions are accessible for all students.

The webcast is part of WCET’ s September Accessibility Month where webcasts, blogs, and discussions will focus on this important topic.

This webcast is provided free and open to all, but space is limited*

“Accessibility for Edtech Across the Campus: Turning a Negative into a Positive” will take place on September 29 at Noon MDT. The free webcast will run for 60 minutes.

*Space is limited and priority will be given to current WCET members who register prior to September 27. If your institution is not a WCET member, you are welcome to register and we will confirm your spot after September 27.

An archive of the will be available on this webpage by October 5.
