The BCcampus EdTech Demo series is back this fall

As part of our mandate to help the B.C. post-secondary system make informed decisions about educational technologies, BCcampus coordinates virtual demonstrations of new and emerging educational technologies, both commercial and open source.

Post by Clint Lalonde, Manager, Educational Technology and Development, BCcampus

While the primary audience is people working in the B.C. post-secondary system, these demos are free and open to anyone who would like to participate.

This fall, the BCcampus EdTech Demo series will be focusing on personalized learning platforms and accessibility. Our series kicks off with a virtual demonstration of the Waymaker platform from Lumen Learning. A global leader in Open Educational Resources, Lumen Learning has developed the Waymaker platform to leverage the strength of OER’s while incorporating numerous personalized learning elements that support both student and educators.

Ross Strader, Director of Learning Engineering for Lumen learning will walk us through the various features and design decisions that have gone into the development of Waymaker. The Waymaker EdTech Demo will happen at 11 am PDT on Thursday, September 28th. Registration is open.

Also planned for this fall are virtual demonstrations of personalized learning platform Red Panda from Ht2 labs, and a demonstration of Blackboard Ally, a platform that helps make course content universally accessible.

If you would like to be notified of any upcoming education technology demonstrations, please join our EdTech Demo notification mailing list.
