Pressbooks Training Webinar – Level 1 + 2

Pressbooks is an open source, online authoring and publishing platform used by BCcampus and post-secondary institutions in B.C. and beyond to create and adapt open textbooks.

Two sessions are being offered back to back on the same day. Registrants may sign up for either one of the webinars or both.

  1. How to create a Pressbooks account and textbook
  2. How to navigate the Pressbooks Dashboard
  3. How to set up your book
  4. Parts and Chapters
  5. How to add Parts and Chapters & Front/Back Matter
  6. How to order Parts and Chapters & Front/Back Matter
  7. How to create content
  8. How to change/recover your password


Pressbooks, Intermediate 1: How to import and export files.
Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 11am-12pm, Pacific time

You will learn:

  1. Learn how to add and use specialized textboxes for: Learning objects (LO), Key takeaway (KT), Exercises (EX)
  2. How to add other textboxes
  3. How to use the block quotes feature
  4. How to add and style tables
  5. How to use numbered and bullet lists
  6. How to add hyperlinks to text
