Just SHARE It! – ETUG Fall Workshop 2018

The ETUG Stewardship Committee (SCETUG) is proud to present your ETUG Fall Workshop 2018: Just SHARE it! We’ll be gathering at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver on Friday, November 2nd.

Post by Terri Bateman, Distributed Learning Facilitator at North Island College, Chair, ETUG Stewardship Committee (SCETUG)

We will spend a day together packed full of sharing and kicked off by Paul Stacey, Executive Director of the Open Education Consortium and long-time ETUG member and supporter.

Our demonstration stations will offer you the opportunity to explore some innovative ideas in EdTech. You’ll find stations featuring: Sketching with VR, interactive audio, 3d printing, assistive technologies, and more. You can also sign up for a tour of the beautiful new Emily Carr University of Art + Design campus.

As always, there will be time for some networking and catching up with your provincial colleagues, with informal networking space available in the Rennie room if you want to get together with colleagues or working groups.

After lunch, we dive right into the 10-minute lightning rounds featuring nine presenters and a wide range of topics related to education technology & sharing in our ETUG community and the communities within it. You’ll then have some time to explore the topics a little further at the facilitated table talks. There is something for everyone in the lightning rounds. You can see the full program at etug.ca.

The 25th anniversary of ETUG is coming up. Look for hints about what to expect at the Spring conference.

Don’t forget to register; we have limited space and it’s filling up fast. We’re only a couple of weeks away! Looking forward to sharing with, and learning from, this fantastic group of educators.

Notable quote:

“The ETUG workshop is one of my favourite events each year. The community is vibrant and active, and the workshops always offer plenty of opportunities for interactivity in an informal, collegial environment.” ~ Clint Lalonde, Manager Education Technology & SCETUG Steward, BCcampus
