FLO Workshop: Coaching Student Teams

Are you looking for some new tools for your teaching toolkit? This fun and interactive workshop is for faculty interested in helping students to collaborate effectively and have a positive group experience.

We explore ways to:

  • Create an engaging and inclusive culture in the classroom and online
  • Develop our own and students’ listening skills
  • Use powerful questions to deepen learning
  • Enhance emotional intelligence
  • Apply conflict resolution strategies

Throughout the workshop participants will have opportunities to share ideas and success stories. Come prepared to discuss in small-group breakout sessions as well as in larger group conversations. Participants will also have the opportunity to collaborate with peers from across the province on a variety of hands-on activities, including, for example, building self-awareness using a skills wheel, co-creating a designed alliance, and listening for deeper meaning.

This event is held over two days, March 24 and 31, 2022, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. (Pacific) on both days. We encourage participants to attend both days.
