Join us on November 16, at 12:00 p.m., as we dig into the Design section of the BCcampus Micro-credential Toolkit for B.C.

BCcampus Micro-Credentials logoFacilitated by story contributor Susan Forseille from Thompson Rivers University, this session will look at how micro-credentials intersect with education pathways. Susan will define Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) and apply it to micro-credentials. She’ll also explain the draft Critical Information Summary and its role in education pathways.

About the Facilitator:

Susan Forseille

Susan Forseille (she/her) has been privileged to work for 23-years at the intersections of prior learning, education, and career development. Since 2018 she has been the director of Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) at Thompson Rivers University. Her recent research has focused on micro-credential assessment, PLAR persistence, decolonizing PLAR, and how PLAR impacts career development. Susan is a passionate PLAR advocate and is proud to serve on both the Canadian Association of Prior Learning board and British Columbia’s Prior Learning Action Network. Recently she was honoured to accept a position on the editorial board of Prior Learning Assessment Inside Out.
