Our 2016/17 Faculty Fellows: Jennifer Kirkey, Douglas College, Rod Lidstone, Camosun College and Arthur Gill Green, Okanagan College worked together to encourage greater educational and institutional uptake of open textbooks and the use of open educational resources in the B.C. post-secondary sector and beyond.
This team worked on the following research questions:
- How much do textbooks cost for students finishing a AA and/or AS degree in British Columbia?
- How much do supplementary materials cost for finishing an AA and/or AS degree in British Columbia?
- Is there significant variation across institutions?
- How much do textbooks cost for the top five enrolled degree programs at UBC?
